SUSPENDED SATISFACTION: 12/01/2006

Im back from Taiwan. At last!! But it was fun ((:

Day 1- Rise & shine at about 5. Went to the airport at 6.10am cos the flight was at 8.05am. SQ 871. There were quite a number of inflight movies. There was Step Up too (: Watched Project Runway 2. The flight was 4hrs long. Reached Tao Yuan International Airport at 12+. Taiwan's really big, so the distance from one city to another is quite long. Went to Taipei 101. The journey from Tao Yuan to Taipei was about 1hr. Next, we went to the Discovering Taipei Museum.Then, we went to Taimall. When we reached there, I was sick. Argh.. Sore throat, flu, and a slight fever. The journey back to the hotel was 1hr. The hotel was abit small. The view from my hotel room was a dam.

Day 2-Morning call at 6. Went to next destination, Yi Lan. 3hrs journey. The purpose of going there was just to visit a farm -_- After visiting the farm, we went to the take a train to Hua Lien, another city in Taiwan. We went to the Taroko Gorge. Later, we went to watch a cultural show. boring.

Day 3- Went to Chiufen, fiming site of a movie. Then, we went to Ye-Liu Scenic Area. Just when we went into the area, it started raining!!! & we only managed to take a picture. The tour guide said something in the bus, "No need to bring your umbrella, if rain also no use, the wind will blow the umbrella away." (in chinese). Argh. It really rained. We were like soo angry with the tour guide. Next, we went to the National Chang Kai-Shek Cultural Centre. Later at night, we went to Ximenting to shop. Next, we went to Shilin Night Market to eat. At night, we went to stay in the "Meteor Garden" - the house of Dao Ming Si. We went to the Hotspring too.

Day 4- In Taichung. Departed for Leo Foo Village Theme Park. Bought some souvenirs and gifts. In the evening, we went to Feng Chia Night Market.

Day 5- We went to the Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan's biggest fresh water lake. We had lunch at The Secret Garden. Over there, we could not make loud noises. We also went to see pearls. they showed us a boring slideshow about how they made pearls. Then we reached Kaohsiung. We had a boat cruise along Kaohsiung Love River. Next, we went to Sinjiaojiang Night Market.

Day 6- We took a 5hr journey back to Taipei. Kaohsiung is at the south of Taiwan, while Taipei is at north. On the way, the bus broke down!!! We waited for another bus for 1hr. very long, and the bus was very stuffy. When we were eating lunch, some people saw a rat in the restaurant, then the tour guide called the health board. haha. Next place we visited was the Martyr's Shrine to see the ceremony of changing guards at hourly intervals. Then, we went to the National Palace Museum. We also went to this place to see wat fortune teller or something. We had xiao long bao for dinner. After dinner, we went to Tamshui old street & Fisherman's Wharf. Played in the arcarde. On the way back to the hotel, we were cracking alot of jokes. very funny!!

Day 7- Sad, we have to leave Taiwan. Our flight was not very early, so we did not need to wake up soo early. Reached the airport at 12pm, since the flight was at 1.55pm. Bought alot of food at the Duty Free. Although the flight was at 1.55, the plane only departed at 2+. Watched Scoop. We reached Singapore at about 6.40pm.

The temperature in Taiwan and Singapore is totally different. The temperature in Taiwan is about 18 degrees, while in Singapore, it's about 30 degrees. The highway in Taiwan is called freeway and the road that they drive is on the right, opposite from Singapore.
